HIS STUBBORN LOVER (SLADE SECURITY TEAM #1) BY LESLIE NORTH

SYNOPSIS

When your job is protecting people, the first rule is…never mix business with pleasure.

Keira Mantz has been given the job of a lifetime, and she refuses to fail. Trained as part of an elite security team, her first mission is to protect the Sheikh of Jawhara and his wife. What she thought would be a solo operation, though, is suddenly a two-person job. And her partner is none other than Brock Wells, the Viking-like team member who trained her. The last thing Keira wants is Brock stealing her thunder, but she’ll do whatever it takes to succeed—even if it means pretending to be in love. When Brock found Keira in a bar fight and offered her a place on the team, he knew she was the right choice. With her mile-long legs, fierce determination, and unwavering focus, he has no doubt she can hold her own. But with the threat to the Sheikh closer than they realized, Brock has no choice but to intervene. To give them the cover they need, they’ll have to act like they’re a couple. And although Brock told himself he’d never get close to another woman, the job always comes first. When their ruse becomes a little too real, can Keira and Brock risk letting their guard down, or will admitting their feelings put others’ lives in danger?

REVIEW:  HIS STUBBORN LOVER (SLADE SECURITY TEAM #1) BY LESLIE NORTH

His Stubborn Lover (Slade Security Team #1)His Stubborn Lover by Leslie North

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

The Slade Security Team series finds Leslie North taking her steamy romances in a different direction. Still the same hot stories with elements of intrigue mixed in. His Stubborn Lover is the lead off. Loved Keira her in your face personality made for an interesting female lead. About time the heroine can take care of herself as well as the hero. Don't usually see that as much. It frustrates me when the woman is always the victim. Brock was the perfect counter balance to Keira. She acted, he planned. Was not as fond of him though. An impressive effort.

HIS SECRET CHILD (SLADE SECURITY TEAM #2) BY LESLIE NORTH

SYNOPSIS

Slade’s priorities are his job and his security team. He’s never been interested in a picket fence, or answering to the same woman for the rest of his life. Those are attachments he doesn’t need. But when he goes to check on the boy left behind by the death of his employee’s ex-wife, Slade isn’t expecting to find Bethany Simmons. The computer programmer is smart as a whip and classically beautiful, and Slade can’t help but to take notice.

When Bethany contacted Slade Security to let them know of her sister’s death, she never thought it would be Slade himself who would show up. The hulking mass of hotness, with his tanned skin and gray-streaked hair, instantly makes her insides melt. Despite her attraction, though, Bethany worries that he’s come to take away her nephew—and she’s not going to let that happen.

It’s in Slade’s nature to protect people; but when the ex-Navy SEAL barges into Bethany’s life, she doesn’t know how to handle him. She’s used to settling her own affairs and her priority is finding a way to adopt little Jason. But soon, a secret could change everything for both them…

His Secret Child (Slade Security Team #2)His Secret Child by Leslie North

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There are so many twists and turns within this story. It's easy to get caught off guard and miss things if not paying attention. There was never a dull moment. The death of a friends ex leads to long held secrets exposure and a second chance at love. Due to the nature of the story I don't want to give away much but I will say that it is a beautiful read.

HIS INNOCENT LOVER (SLADE SECURITY TEAM #3) BY LESLIE NORTH

SYNOPSIS

Slade Security is hot on the heels of a dangerous assailant, and it’s up to Trent Larson, ex-Navy SEAL and Slade team member, to infiltrate the organization where the mole is hiding. When he meets Chloe Baker, he knows he’s found his perfect way in. Getting close to the naïve receptionist with the dazzling green eyes and open smile is easy. But Trent wasn’t counting on the curves hidden beneath Chloe’s baggy clothes, or his inexplicable need to protect her.

Wyoming native Chloe Baker has always been too trusting—first with her alcoholic father and then her ex-fiancé. A fresh start in San Diego is what she needs to put the past behind her and earn some money for her father’s hospital bills. When Trent Larson, with his ocean-blue eyes and sun-streaked hair walks into her life, Chloe agrees to a date. Soon, though, she starts to wonder if there’s something more to the sexy surfer than he’s telling her.

Trent knows he’s blurring the boundaries of his assignment, but he can’t stop himself from wanting to get closer to Chloe. But if she finds out she’s being lied to, it could mean the end to everything.

REVIEW:  HIS INNOCENT LOVER (SLADE SECURITY TEAM #3) BY LESLIE NORTH

His Innocent Lover (Slade Security Team Series Book 3)His Innocent Lover by Leslie North

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Chloe is no fool. Having experienced enough heartbreak in her life at the hands of people who love her she is finally starting to look at the world with less naivety. Trent is undercover working on a dangerous assignment when he crosses paths with Chloe. The connection they feel is instantaneous. Trent knows this could be something special. Chloe suspects he's hiding something. Can a relationship built on lies survive? His Innocent Lover was an okay story.
