REVIEW: UNLUCKY IN LOVE (THE LUCKY SERIES) BY JILL SANDERS
Unlucky in Love by Jill Sanders
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Unlucky in Love is a light hearted look at love, life and everything in between. Jill Sanders surprised me with this one because most of the stories I have read by her have a more serious tone to them. Kristen is neurotic, quirky and uptight which is a weird combination but makes for a lot of laughs. Austin is everything that Kristen strives to be successful and taken seriously. They shouldn't match but they do. NetGalley supplied me with an ARC of Unlucky in Love by Jill Sanders in exchange for an honest review. A comedic turn with a touch of whimsy, it worked for me.

JACKSON'S TRUST (FOURTH DOWN) BY VIOLET DUKE
Release Date: March 8, 2016
SYNOPSIS
New York Times bestselling author Violet Duke kicks off her fun and sexy new Fourth Down series with a heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance between a no-strings-attached sports analyst and the hottest damn tomboy he’s ever met.
It’s no secret that sports analyst Jackson Gray doesn’t do relationships. What is a secret, however, is the reason why. Jackson’s life is . . . complicated. And it doesn’t help that his current hands-off “friendship” is with the cute-as-hell new sideline reporter he’s assigned to train. Turns out, not only is the woman damn sweet, she also knows as much about football as he does. Like it or not though, Jackson has to remind himself that sex is the only thing he has to offer . . . until now.
Leila Hart’s fast-growing friendship with Jackson is something she’d never risk, no matter how unbelievably seductive the reward. Becoming an NFL sportscaster has always been the goal, and thanks to Jackson’s fierce support and mentoring, it all finally seems within reach. Problem is, a girl can only take so much of that sexy-as-sin voice whispering dirty, filthy football stats in her ear before she loses all self-control. A workplace romance with Jackson is a disaster waiting to happen, especially for someone with big dreams . . . and secrets of her own.

REVIEW: JACKSON'S TRUST (FOURTH DOWN) BY VIOLET DUKE
Jackson's Trust by Violet Duke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Life lessons presented in stories of realism wrapped in a hug. That is how I see Violet Duke's stories.
Jackson's Trust is my reintroduction to Ms. Duke. Her capacity to write strong female characters not afraid of being vulnerable but able to hold their own no matter the obstacles is my favorite aspect of her writing. Through NetGalley I received an ARC of Jackson's Trust in exchange for an honest review. I liked the theme of being true to yourself. That is a great lesson. Leila at heart is a tomboy but outside she sort of struggles to find her place. Jackson is not as carefree as he seems. His deeply buried issues influence his life. What I love about a Violet Duke novel is that there are hidden meanings in every scenario, but there is also flare, charm and great storytelling.

RISKING IT ALL (A NAKED MEN NOVEL) BY CHRISTI BARTH
Release Date: March 8, 2016
SYNOPSIS
Who doesn’t love Naked Men? In Christi Barth’s irresistible series, a group of close-knit friends talk out their problems with naked honesty on a popular blog. Bonded by a high-school tragedy, they’re moving on from the past—and fighting for the future with strong and sassy women.
Griffin Montgomery helps people. As a teenager, he kept his best friends alive after their soccer team’s bus crashed in the Alps. Now, as a Coast Guard search and rescue pilot, he saves lives with reckless abandon—until he goes too far and earns a lengthy suspension. Working on the Naked Men projects keeps his mind busy, but Griff’s itching to get back in the action. That’s when he finds his latest rescue mission: a pretty wallflower who’s stuck in her comfort zone.
Chloe Widmore doesn’t take risks. As a professional letter writer, she gets enough excitement out of expressing other people’s emotions. So when the hottest man she’s ever seen invades her coffee shop, Chloe surprises herself with how much she wants to be with him. Routines make her feel safe. Griff makes her deliciously unsafe, in so many ways. But falling for him is one risk she might just have to take . . . whether she’s ready or not.

REVIEW: RISKING IT ALL (A NAKED MEN NOVEL) BY CHRISTI BARTH
SYNOPSIS
Risking It All by Christi Barth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
There can be no doubt that Griffin's past has shaped his future. He enjoys taking risk, loves helping people and keeps busy to drown out the memories he can't seem to let go of. Chloe is the complete opposite she'd rather write about life than experience it. She prefers a nice quiet environment that makes her feel safe and in control. When she is in Griffin's presence she feels none of those things and she thrives on the erratic emotions he makes her feel. Risking It All was such a hot read for me. It was brilliant to bring these two opposites together. Being with Griffin made Chloe more daring. Chloe helped Griffin to relax more. What I liked most about this story is that Chloe and Griffin needed each other. Their differences made them stronger as a couple and helped center them individually. I received an ARC of Risking it All in exchange for an honest review. I am now a converted fan.

LORD HAVEN'S DECEPTION BY DONNA LEA SIMPSON
Release Date: March 8, 2016
SYNOPSIS
Jane Dresden has no patience for the merciless gossip of the ton or the handy hypocrisy of the nobility, and now that her mother has arranged for her to marry the supposedly cruel Viscount Haven, she fears for her future happiness. In an effort to appease her mother and also put an end to her matchmaking, Jane agrees to meet the man, but in a fit of panic runs from the engagement and takes refuge in a country cottage, disguised as a maid. There she meets a kind and comforting local farmer who shares her taste for simplicity and quickly captures her heart.
Lord Haven had long ago resigned himself to the unpleasant duties of his title and accepted the hard truth that taking a wife and producing an heir was among them—though he shudders at the prospect of spending his life with the charmless woman his mother has arranged for him to wed. Wishing to delay their formal meeting until the last possible moment, he shrugs off his stifling attire and escapes to his favorite sanctuary, a simple cottage on his grand estate. There he meets a caring and captivating maid who steals his heart, and in the guise of a common farmer he proceeds to court her, fearing all the while that his ruse will be discovered.
As the two struggle with the implications of their deceit and the shattering knowledge that revealing their true identities will doom their blossoming bond, each is forced to choose between duty and heartfelt desire, never suspecting that their fated match holds the key to a true and lasting love.
This is a fully revised edition of a book originally titled A Country Courtship.

REVIEW: LORD HAVEN'S DECEPTION BY DONNA LEA SIMPSON
Lord Haven’s Deception by Donna Lea Simpson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Donna Lea Simpson is a masterful storyteller. The first time I came in to contact with one of her historical romances I could not get over the easiness of the flow, the tender bond between the characters and the straightforward plots. She does throw in a few surprises along the way but it adds to the beauty of these great romances. I received an ARC of Lord Haven's Deception via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I felt like I had fallen into a fairytale. The crafting of the story the wonder of the romance captured me and reeled me into a timeless love story.

REVIEW: RUINED (THE WICKED WOODLEYS) BY JESS MICHAELS
Ruined by Jess Michaels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
It seems like I have been waiting forever to find out Claire's story. Throughout Jess Michaels Wicked Woodleys series she has dropped little clues. The anxiety over this young woman's plight has been a staple in each and every book in the series but caused an abundance if tension between Josie and Evan in Deceived, and almost cost Gabriel his chance at happiness in Tempted. Now we get to experience Claire's courageous journey and learn the story behind her disappearance in Ruined. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. With Ruined Ms. Michaels gives her readers a love story that is larger than the characters themselves and as treacherous, perhaps more so than the other books within this series. It lived up to the hype for me.

REVIEW: THE DANGER IN DARING A LADY (THE NAUGHTY GIRLS) BY EMMA LOCKE
The Danger in Daring a Lady by Emma Locke
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
YES! YES! YES! Finally a woman who can go toe to toe with an overwhelmingly arrogant male. Emma Locke, I am loving it. Darius is rich, titled and full of himself but one meeting with a beautiful woman cuts him down to size. Caitlin is smart, beautiful and doesn't suffer fools. My best way of describing her is a newly discovered gem, she's rough around the edges but buried inside is the makings of a beautiful treasure. Her interactions with Darius are pure gold. She doesn't not hesitate to speak her mind but can't help have mixed feelings where he is concerned. I received an ARC of The Danger in Daring a Lady by Emma Locke in exchange for an honest review. I was already enjoying the Naughty Girls series but after reading Darius and Caitlin's story, I am not ashamed to admit that I am head over heels for these characters. My favorite book in the series.
