A pleasant surprise. I have read some of Ms. Vane's work in the past so I am familiar with her as an author. Love her historical romances. I had no idea that she wrote contemporary romance though. I received an ARC of Hell on Heels in exchange for an honest review. At the beginning it was touch and go for me. The build up to the intro between the main characters seemed far too drawn out. Once it happened however there was no going back. The tension permeated off the page in every interaction between Ty and Monica. There was no clear favorite for me in their steamy battle enjoyed it so much that that I am looking forward reading more contemporary from this author.
