A little role reversal goes a long way in this endearing read from author Barbara Lohr. My favorite trait of any Barbara Lohr novel is that she does not do complicated. Her stories are easy to understand and filled with such warmth that it is like lending an empathetic ear to a forlorn friend. I received an ARC of Always on His Mind in exchange for an honest review. For Mercedes, her charmed life has hit the skids-leaving her with bumps and bruises along the way. Finn is the hometown boy that made good but longs for more than he has. Always on His Mind is peppered with moments of sentiment and tantamount life lessons. Reading Barbara Lohr is an inspiring treat that is always enriching.
