There is lots of conflict in this story. It's hard to tell who can be trusted. You have good people making stupid decisions based on emotion and crooked ones trying to protect themselves. Alexa proved to be a tough cookie facing anger from all directions and confronting her own mortality, she still found the strength to make right the wrongs of others. Throughout the story I bounced back and forth about my feelings for Damien. He made it so hard to like him. When he finally made the choice to listen to his conscience and not be fueled by his anger he became more tolerable. In Safe Hands is a fast paced and all over the place emotional story of bravery, redemption, temptation and emotion that will have a tight hold on you until the last page. A sexy love story. 4.5 of 5 stars.
