The Unexpected Heroes series is another Melody Anne winner. Have already read Her Unexpected Hero (Jackson and Alyssa). Spence and Sage's story is even better. With Her Hometown Hero Ms. Anne takes a reader through the journey of two doctors as they reconnect and discover something special. Along the way they endure matchmaking friends and family, insecurities and career obstacles. Sage is a smart person that has allowed life experiences to pass her by. Spence has a large capacity for love but is scared to pursue a chance at happiness. Like every story there are moments that make you smile and others that break your heart. However, the true test of an exceptional read is that it leaves you wanting more. This book and series does just that. Received an ARC for an honest review.
