Moving Target

Moving Target - Marquita Valentine Marquita Valentine continues to surprise me. I received an ARC of Moving Target in exchange for an honest review. Having heard about Moving Target, I knew that I was going to read it. As part of a series I didn't want to miss anything and enjoyed Roman and Ben's stories. I was not looking forward to Dimitri's as much though. The blurb seemed cookie cutter and depressing but I decided to give it a chance. Diving right in, It was not what I expected it to be. My first opinion started to change and two hours later I was finished. Chloe was gullible but also curious. Experiencing much, most of it heartbreaking within her young life, she needed to be shook up. I think that was the point of the bucket list. Don't just exist, live. Life is too short to not enjoy the time given. Dimitri was just the wake up call for her but the baggage he brought was another matter. Hidden agendas, secrets, danger and magnetic chemistry built Dimitry and Chloe's story into a romance that was surprising sensual, laced with adventure mixed with redemption and healing. Don't know how it worked, but in my case I really enjoyed it.
