12 STEPS TO MR. RIGHT BY CINDI MADSEN

Release Date:  September 26, 2016

SYNOPSIS

12 steps to finding Mr. Right, composed by dating coach extraordinaire Savannah Gamble

1: Admit to being powerless over your attraction to the wrong type of guy. (Like Lincoln Wells, who broke your heart after an unforgettable one-night stand.)
2: Believe Mr. Right is out there.
3: Take inventory of past mistakes. (See step #1.)
4: Make a list of qualities you want in a man. (Avoid charming baseball players/reason you made these rules in the first place)
5: Take charge of your own life.
6: Learn to love yourself.
7: Sort the hookup guys from the relationship guys. (Avoid a painful brushoff after an amazing night together.)
8: Never, ever settle. (Even if the chemistry is off-the-charts.)
9: Don’t believe you can change a guy. (Once a commitment-phobe, always a commitment-phobe)
10: Communicate your needs.
11: Open your heart & love fully. (Still working on this one…)
12: Don’t ever, ever stray from the steps.

REVIEW:  12 STEPS TO MR. RIGHT BY CINDI MADSEN

12 Steps to Mr. Right12 Steps to Mr. Right by Cindi Madsen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

There is nothing stale about Cindi Madsen's brand of humorous romances. 12 Steps to Mr. Right is a prime example of just how enjoyable her stories can be. She delivers sage advice via fast paced sass and her characters are such a hoot that they knocked me on my ***. Savannah seems to have it all together. Doling out romance advice to the lovelorn and dateless of the world, but when it comes to her own matters of the heart she's as clueless as the people she helps. Not even her step by step road map can save her from the whirlwind that Linc pulls her into and before she can save herself, her downfall begins. The blind leading the blind has never proved to be so entertaining. I think I'm in love.

REVIEW:  THE TROUBLE WITH MISTLETOE (HEARTBREAKER BAY) BY JILL SHALVIS

The Trouble with Mistletoe (Heartbreaker Bay, #2)The Trouble with Mistletoe by Jill Shalvis

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let's be serious, it's hard not to fall in love with a Jill Shalvis creation. Her stories are like a hug: a pleasure for the senses and a comfort to the heart. The warmth lingers long after the initial exposure. So it's only fitting that The Trouble with Mistletoe takes the magic of the holiday season and bundles it with the cuddly, feel good charm of a second chance romance. Every person has an event that sticks in the mind and leaves them wishing for a different outcome. Willa's is tall dark and handsome, but doesn't remember her. Add a furry matchmaker, a sexy blast from the past and anything can happen. This author is in a class that's all her own.

THE PERKS OF LOVING A SCOUNDREL (SEDUCTION DIARIES) BY JENNIFER MCQUISTON

Release Date:  September 27, 2016

SYNOPSIS

Every girl dreams of a hero….

No one loves books more than Miss Mary Channing. Perhaps that’s why she’s reached the ripe old age of six-and-twenty without ever being kissed. Her future may be as bland as milk toast, but Mary is content to simply dream about the heroes and adventures she reads about in her books. That way she won’t end up with a villain instead.

But sometimes only a scoundrel will do.

When she unexpectedly finds herself in the arms of Geoffrey Westmore, London’s most notorious scoundrel, it feels a bit like a plot from one of her favorite novels. Suddenly, Mary understands why even the smartest heroines can fall prey to a handsome face, and Westmore’s is more handsome than most. But far worse than the damage to her reputation, the moment’s indiscretion uncovers an assassination plot that reaches to the highest levels of society and threatens the course of the entire country.

When a tight-laced miss and a scoundrel of epic proportions put their minds together, nothing can stand in their way. But unless they put their hearts together as well, a happy ending is anything but assured.

REVIEWTHE PERKS OF LOVING A SCOUNDREL (SEDUCTION DIARIES) BY JENNIFER MCQUISTON

The Perks of Loving a Scoundrel (Seduction Diaries, #3)The Perks of Loving a Scoundrel by Jennifer McQuiston

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Two words come to mind when describing The Perks of Loving a Scoundrel. Pure escapism. Ms. McQuiston created a romance as epic as the characters who lived it. Mary lives her dreams through the pages of her favorite books, but has yet to experience all the emotions that her stories evoke in reality. She unwittingly lands in the middle of her own adventure when she meets Geoffrey. Her reality becomes full of twists that could rival any of her novels. Jennifer McQuiston did a stellar job. "Truth is indeed stranger than fiction" and she played that plot line to the max. It's not often that a story is centered around a heroine who a love of books, that in itself appealed to me. With easily identifiable main characters and a thrilling story, it was a no brainer for me : 5 stars.

REVIEW:  TAINTED BRIDE (THE FOREVER BRIDES) BY A.S. FENICHEL

Tainted Bride (Forever Brides #1)Tainted Bride by A.S. Fenichel

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sophia is a woman in denial. About many things. Including her attraction to Daniel. Daniel has his sights set on the beautiful, yet fragile angel that has awakened his dormant emotions. All at once he feels protective and enamored. Daniel is the dashing knight that seeks to rescue the damsel in distress. That annoyed me some, but the way the author handled Sophia's painful reveal took some on the aggravation away. Tainted Bride is a story of empowerment, sacrifice and healing.

REVIEW:  THE UNKNOWN BILLIONAIRE (CAPTURED BY LOVE) BY MIRANDA P. CHARLES

The Unknown Billionaire (Captured by Love, #6)The Unknown Billionaire by Miranda P. Charles

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The beauty of Miranda Charles' Captured by Love series is the exposure of the foibles of human character. Love does not mean perfection. Love means accepting the good, the bad and the unexpected that life throws at you. TOGETHER! Jarryd and Marilyn allowed secrets and outside force influence to weaken the strength of their relationship. A long lost mother, a secret inheritance, money and scheming outsiders have a toxic impact on a once strong bond. Will love allow Marilyn and Jarryd to see the error of their ways? To err is human but owning those mistakes teaches the value of maturity and forgiveness. Another wonderful novel from Ms. Charles.
