RULES FOR A ROGUE (ROMANCING THE RULES) BY CHRISTY CARLYLE

Release Date:  November 1, 2016

SYNOPSIS

From the USA Today bestselling author of ONE DANGEROUS DESIRE comes a sparkling new series about a rogue who must learn how to follow the rules and a woman who wants to break all of them, perfect for fans of Maya Rodale and Lorraine Heath.

Kit Ruthven's Rules (for Rogues)

#1 Love freely but guard your heart, no matter how tempting the invader.

#2 Embrace temptation, indulge your sensual impulses, and never apologize.

#3 Scorn rules and do as you please. You are a rogue, after all.

Following the rules never brought anything but misery for Christopher “Kit” Ruthven. After rebelling against his controlling father and leaving the family’s Ruthven Rules etiquette book empire behind, Kit has been breaking every one imaginable for the past six years. He’s enjoyed London’s sensual pleasures and secured his reputation as a Rogue, but he’s failed to achieve success. When he inherits his father’s publishing business, Kit is forced back into the life he never wanted. Worse, he must face Ophelia Marsden, the woman he jilted but never forgot.

After losing her father and refusing a loveless marriage proposal, Ophelia has learned to rely on herself. To maintain the family home and support her younger brother, she tutors young girls in deportment and decorum. But her pupils would be scandalized if they knew their imminently proper teacher was also the author of a guidebook encouraging ladies to embrace their independence and overthrow outdated notions of etiquette like the Ruthven Rules.

As Kit rediscovers the life, and the woman, he left behind, Ophelia must choose between the practicalities she never truly believed in, or the love she’s never been able to extinguish.

REVIEW:  RULES FOR A ROGUE (ROMANCING THE RULES) BY CHRISTY CARLYLE

Rules for a Rogue (Romancing the Rules, #1)Rules for a Rogue by Christy Carlyle

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC Review: Rules for a Rogue (Romancing the Rules) by Christy Carlyle

The irony of the relationship between Kit and Ophelia is that there is love, the issue is that neither knows how to accept the flaws of the other. Until they can face the problems rooted in the past, there can never be a future. Family, responsibilities, pride and respectability have a hand in keeping them apart, but there is a sense of regret in the interactions that they have with each other. Ms. Carlyle is good at stirring up trouble but she delivers a potent combination of mesmerizing romance and seductive characters that leave her readers with a euphoric feeling.

The Untouchable Earl (Fallen Ladies, #2)The Untouchable Earl by Amy Sandas

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC Review: The Untouchable Earl by Amy Sandas

The Untouchable Earl knocked me off my feet. Amy Sandas has adventure in her soul and compassion in her heart. Having read the synopsis, I couldn't imagine how the author could pull it off. A man sensitive to touch. Living in fear of the most simple of feelings but yearning for love and companionship. What I take for granted every day was a constant source of emotion turmoil. Heartbreaking. The irony was the part of himself that made him feel at his weakest, ultimately proved to be his greatest strength. It gave him a better understanding and empathy for others. It also lead him to his greatest desire. The Untouchable Earl ended being one of the purest stories of love and hope, I have ever read. I would recommend anyone facing personal struggles in their life read it and gain courage.

How to Impress a Marquess (Wicked Little Secrets, #3)How to Impress a Marquess by Susanna Ives

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

ARC Review: How to Impress a Marquess (Wicked Little Secrets) by Susanna Ives

Plenty of moments of delight accompany Lilith and George as they face the ultimate test. How to Impress a Marquess blends intellect with heart to deliver a fresh look at a subject that is repeatedly examined in the genre of romance. Following your heart. George conceals himself behind the obligations of his title, never letting anyone close enough to expose his dreams and secret yearnings. Lilith does the opposite. She reveals her true self to the world in defiance of the negativity and hurt she hides away in her heart. Ms. Ives has flamboyant heroine stole the show with her impulsiveness but she also drove home the point that life is to be lived not feared. Wise advice.
