He's book smart but emotionally he's like a baby bird learning to spread his wings. He feels deeply, yet doesn't fully ascertain how to express what he feels. In Brooke, he finds his total opposite, but he also learns to not overthink life, LIVE IT. In no way should this couple work but they do. Not only did she give glimpses of beloved characters that Ms. Ryan created, she remained true to the series by putting her heart and soul into making it her own. Kyle is a man of mystery. With his bedroom eyes and his entrancing personality, he can have any woman he wants. Unless the woman he wants is Sarah. Sarah is tough in the boardroom, but lost outside of the office. The one time she let her guard down, she ended up getting involved with the wrong man. Kyle is charming, attractive and off limits. Too bad she's already tasted the temptation. There are many other issues, but according to my new wife, those are minor compared to the biggest one—she says I will never be able to accept being tied down.
Don’t worry—I got this one. I intend to prove to her in no uncertain terms that being tied up, down, or horizontal is just what this Upper East Sider needs.

She puts the heart into a heartless sport with Maybe This Love and brightens up a male dominated world with a bit of girl power. Olivia and Ben are classic romantic comedy with a modern day twist.

Independent in spirit, mischievous of heart and determined of mind. Characters like Clara are a joy to read because they are inspiring, passionate and full of surprises. Add in a devil like Adam and the temperature quickly goes from frigid to volcanic. Ms. Hunter is good. For every moment that I wanted to hate Adam and his hurtful vendetta, I found myself hurting for him instead. It's easy to judge, but difficult to feel. The Most Dangerous Duke In London is driven by emotions. Some painful and dark, others heated and intense, yet all make for an deeply challenging and sometimes humorous trek.

Despite all his accomplishments, he saw himself as the weak link in the McNeill dynasty and he turned out to be much stronger than he knew. When a recent acquisition leads to events that rock his world, Cam finds himself discovering in his weakest moments, what his strengths really are. Maresa is a great heroine and a perfect counterpart to Cam. She humanizes him and he completes her. His Accidental Heir ended up surprising me.

For Ms. Ryan, first impressions are everything. Within the first five minutes, she tempts, frustrates and grabs a readers attention. Sexy Stranger is no exception. Ironic that an author, who prides herself on first impressions, would create characters that don't make very good ones. At least on each other. In my opinion the heat was on and the battles lines were drawn. Charlie was an uptight city girl, Luke a misunderstood country boy, but pride was a trait both had in spades. She was a woman on the run, trying to prove to herself and those around her that she was more than just an armpiece. He was a man with big dreams and an abundance of old hurts. How is it that two people who make each other crazy, end up making perfect sense? Sexy Stranger is a smartly written story with attitude, heart and a seductive happily ever after that kept me invested throughout every chapter.

The takeaway lesson: Life is not about what is acquired, but appreciating the people and experiences as we take the short and bumpy ride.

Reading a Diane Alberts story is like being caught in a Riptide. It's easy to become entangled and hard to find the way out. I love reading Ms. Alberts. She can maneuver from light and entertaining to emotionally frustrating, but she always manages to grab hold of her readers and never let go. The Hamiltons are my favorite series because, each story has little more heart, alot more mischief and that dynamic only a family gave make. Romancing the Bachelor is Eric's moment to shine. The man with the five year plan meets his match in Shelby. She's vibrantly frustrating, stubborn, and determined to live by her own rules. Sound familiar. Eric and Shelby are two peas in a pod. Which makes for a volatile relationship, but an exciting romance. There were times the story felt rushed but these characters are as lovable as the series is sizzling.
