What began as a hostile business arrangement turns steamy really quick. Marco and Sage are thrown together for the sake of some furry friends and end up finding a kindred spirit within each other. When dealing with strong personalities and beautiful, exotic and potentially dangerous animals that's to be expected, but once the spark ignites all bets are off. Marco and Sage take an unusual route, but it's fun to watch them finally end up where they're meant to be.

I don't tear up often, but Wicked Whiskey Love made a crier out of me. Foster showed life at it's ugliest and triumph at it's most inspiring. Sarah is not just a victim, she's a survivor. She found the courage to fight for herself and make a better world for the people she loved most. They say people enter your life at the time you need them most. Bones was a catalyst for her inner heroine breaking free. I enjoy reading stories that mean something. The tale of Bones and Sarah is made all the more powerful because it's realistic, inspiring and gripping.

The appeal of Rising Star for me hinged heavily on Alice. Alice is a character that readers can see pieces of themselves in. Nix created a character that was fascinating not because she lost her heart to a movie star, but because she stayed true to herself while doing it. Susannah Nix dared to show how awkward can be beautiful. Rising Star is right at the head of class when it comes to empowerment and that's a message that never gets old.

McCarthy reminds us that life has a tendency to get in the way, but it also pushes us through the heartache. Stripped Down is brash humor with a ton of heart and a dash of wisdom. The mean girl finally gets a long overdue reality check. Sloane is used to putting her best foot forward, but this time she has to do the work. It takes a less than stellar homecoming and a blast from her not so distant past to show her the error of her ways. Sloane, Rick and their slew of busybody friends are an irresistible bundle of heartwarming fun.
